We held a game of wheelchair basketball in Trafalgar Square for World Polio Day in October 2017. Parliamentarians and members of the GB wheelchair basketball team came together to play a game and celebrate the UK Government’s pledge to immunise 45 million children each year until 2020.

Parliamentarians formed unlikely alliances for the day as each team worked together towards a common goal: victory. Hosted by TV presenter, Paralympian and polio survivor, Ade Adepitan, the game was elbows galore. But, most importantly, it was a reminder that despite the progress that’s been made, the game’s not over. We must give One Last Push to eradicate polio for good.
